2019-07-18 Blanes to Puerto de Roses, Costa Brava, Spain

This morning we have a fantastic view of the town of Blanes from the cockpit of the Tangaroa
The weather is perfect and the water looks very inviting!!
The beach is already looking quite busy
Nearby the day tripper boats are already picking up passengers
It is time for a well earned swim in the crystal clear waters off Blanes Beach
Back to the Tangaroa
After lunch we decide to pull up the anchor and continue a little further up the coast for the night
As we leave we pass the very secure and protected marina and port of Blanes
The coastline is dotted with lovely waterfront hillside villas

The very popular tourist destination of Tossa de Mar with it’s spectacular hilltop castle ruins overlooking the sea
We pass numerous small picturesque bays such as Cala Giverola
Palamos is another very popular coastal town situated near Girona
We continue up the coast heading for our destination for the night at Roses
Cala de Roques Planes is a popular anchorage for the locals from the nearby town of Palamos
Passing the seaside township of Palamos
Heading further north east we approach Illes Formigues
Finally we reach Roses, our destination for the evening. Castell de la Trinitat which was completed in the mid 1500’s has been restored and stands high above the point
Roses is another popular tourist town on the Spanish Catalan coast
Tourists returning to Roses from a magic day out on the water
We join numerous other boats on anchor in the Bay of Roses
