Sunday 13th May 2012 Fiscardo, Kefallonia to Nicolaos, Zakynthos

Mother’s Day today!! Skype comes in handy while one is on holidays. Our plan for the day was to cruise south down the east coast of Kefallonia and have the night in Poros. Passing several townships and bays, such as Eufimia and Sami, we dropped anchor near Andisamos Beach for a swim and lunch. Continuing down the coast we passed Poros township and made the decision to go further south to Zakynthos Island so that we would have a much more comfortable trip than having the breeze on our side. We knew there was an amazing bay to see there, which was on the cover of the Eyewitness Travel book on the Greek Islands. Our night was spent tied up to a pier, with hardly any boats in the area at  Nicolaos, a sheltered fishing port at the northern tip of the island. After mixing deadly green cocktails we had an Aussie barbeque aboard with sausages, steak and grilled vegs. Nice for a change!!!
