2015-08-31 Golfo Stella to Golfo di Campo, Isola d’Elba, Italy Early morning over the large Golfo Stella in southern Elba Our neighbours overnight There are several camping grounds ashore at the top of Golfo Stella A popular diving spot Diving is a very popular sport for holiday makers in Elba The scenery is stunning along the southern coast of the island In the eastern side of Golfo di Campo by Costa di Segagnana we drop our anchor so we could have a swim A very private home by the water almost obscured by trees The pair of Cormorants on their own private little island are keeping a close eye on Ric nearby After a couple of hours, we depart from our lovely swimming spot We head towards the anchorage by the beach in the top of Golfo Di Campo Ric booked a restaurant for dinner for us on the beach at Campo nell’Elba When we drop anchor we discover we have New Zealanders on the yacht beside us Pete and Kathy from Christchurch, join us for a drink on the Tangaroa Later, after the dinghy was dragged up on the beach, we arrive at the Ristorante Iselba da Piero, which has operated from it’s position on the beach at Marina di Campo for many years Our entree was a selection of exquisite tastes Stefano suggested a dish of baked fish and potatoes A most enjoyable light main course of beautifully cooked fresh fish with delicious potatoes The amazing dessert to share Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
