Overnight we had company tied up along the pier in Stivina BayThe larger vessels anchor well out in the bayBefore departing, we take a last swim around the beautiful bayLate morning we pull up the anchor and make our departure from Stivina BayWe head around to the southern coast of Hvar IslandA short distance to the southwest of the town of Hvar is St Clement Island where we intend to anchor overnightWe head back to a bay we are very familiar with in the south west of St Klement IslandOnce safely anchored in Soline Bay it was time to have some lunchSoline Bay is a very secure anchorage and also has jetty access to a number of small family restaurantsBeing so late in the season there are very few boats in the bayIn June, July and August one would have to book a table in the restaurants after securing a mooring in the bayOne of the local fishermen returning to the bayJohn and Mary seem to be enjoying exploring our favourite baysHeading ashore for dinner, we approach the small jetty that hasn’t changed since our first visit here in 2008The rocky uneven path to the small restaurants has not changedAs Paradiso Restaurant was considerably closer than our favourite one (Dionis) we decided to try it out for a changeWe were pleasantly surprised with the delightful setting of the restaurantThe view looking towards the bay was certainly very niceTime to make some dinner choicesTonight’s menuWe try the house wine which is served in most of the Croatian restaurants. It is usually very good, as is this oneFor starters we sample the delicious grilled octopusThe grilled fresh seabass with vegetables was a good choice for us allThe men decided on something sweet and delicious for dessert
