2019-07-19 Puerto de Roses, Costa Brava, Spain

This morning we take our dinghy and go ashore to the town of Puerto de Roses
This seaside town in the Province of Girona was believed to be founded by Greek colonists from Rhodes in the 8th century BC
Puerto de Roses has a large marina which holds approximately 500 boats
With a population of approximately 20,000 people, Puerto de Roses is an important fishing port and tourist centre
July and August are the busiest months for visitors to the lovely town
The Tangaroa has had a good sheltered position in the bay overnight moored close to a group of yachts also on anchor
Water sports and sailing are popular in the bay
It is always nice to go ashore and visit some of the small towns on the coasts while cruising
We decide to spend another night in Puerto de Roses
