2018-08-30 Cala Conta to San Antonio, Ibiza, Islas Baleares, Spain

Looking towards Illa des Bosc just off the coast from Cala Conta
Looking back to the popular restaurant at Cala Conta called Sunset Ashram
After a very pleasant few days we make our departure
Looking back to to the two islands off Cala Conta, Illa des Bosc and Illa Sa Conillera
As we head north towards Punta de Sa Torre, we pass Torre d’en Rovira which was completed in 1763 and stands at the entrance to San Antonio Bay
Looking ahead to the town of San Antonio de Portmany
To our starboard side we pass the ever popular anchorage of Cala Roja
We continue on to the port of San Antonio
A familiar vessel heads towards us ….. built in our hometown of Hobart
We decide to anchor in the bay called Coves Blanques near the entrance to the large port
Numerous restaurants and bars line the shore of the bay
For us it was perfect to come ashore by dinghy
Coves Blanques is a fabulous anchorage as it is close to most amenities of San Antonio
We stop at Cafe del Mar for a drink before dinner
Tangaroa is moored in the background
Legendary sunset cafes and clubs can be found here
Another magic sunset in Ibiza
The crowds line the shore to see a San Antonio sunset
We head off into the town to find the restaurant we had booked for this evening
We pass numerous tapas restaurants and bars on the way
Finally we arrive at 45 Millas
On arrival at 45 Millas we are seated in a cosy corner of the restaurant
Edamame soy beans arrive and then we take the Chef’s choice of dishes
Fabulously fresh oyster
A delightful red
Superb scallops
Delicious deep fried miniature eggplants
Magnificent mussels
Wonderful carpaccio of beef
We finish off with a delicious dessert of baked fruit
As we were finishing our fabulous dinner at 45 Millas, we met a delightful couple at the next table
