2018-08-30 Cala Conta to San Antonio, Ibiza, Islas Baleares, Spain Looking towards Illa des Bosc just off the coast from Cala Conta Looking back to the popular restaurant at Cala Conta called Sunset Ashram After a very pleasant few days we make our departure Looking back to to the two islands off Cala Conta, Illa des Bosc and Illa Sa Conillera As we head north towards Punta de Sa Torre, we pass Torre d’en Rovira which was completed in 1763 and stands at the entrance to San Antonio Bay Looking ahead to the town of San Antonio de Portmany To our starboard side we pass the ever popular anchorage of Cala Roja We continue on to the port of San Antonio A familiar vessel heads towards us ….. built in our hometown of Hobart We decide to anchor in the bay called Coves Blanques near the entrance to the large port Numerous restaurants and bars line the shore of the bay For us it was perfect to come ashore by dinghy Coves Blanques is a fabulous anchorage as it is close to most amenities of San Antonio We stop at Cafe del Mar for a drink before dinner Tangaroa is moored in the background Legendary sunset cafes and clubs can be found here Another magic sunset in Ibiza The crowds line the shore to see a San Antonio sunset We head off into the town to find the restaurant we had booked for this evening We pass numerous tapas restaurants and bars on the way Finally we arrive at 45 Millas On arrival at 45 Millas we are seated in a cosy corner of the restaurant Edamame soy beans arrive and then we take the Chef’s choice of dishes Fabulously fresh oyster A delightful red Superb scallops Delicious deep fried miniature eggplants Magnificent mussels Wonderful carpaccio of beef We finish off with a delicious dessert of baked fruit As we were finishing our fabulous dinner at 45 Millas, we met a delightful couple at the next table Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
