2018-06-01 Puerto de Valencia Yacht Harbour to Puerto de Denia, Costa Blanca, Spain

This morning we leave the marina to continue down the coast to Denia which will be a closer point to cross over to the island of Ibiza
Valencia, one of the most enjoyable cities to visit along the Spanish coast, has some amazing buildings
We leave behind the containers and the cranes of the busiest container port of the Mediterranean Sea

On our passage down the coast to Denia we pass continuous beaches and hotel complexes catering for the multitude of holiday makers who frequent this coast every year
We enjoy good conditions for our 5 hour journey to our next port of Denia
Our destination finally comes into view
Denia is a popular family tourist destination situated at the beginning of the Costa Blanca
Ruins of an ancient castle stands high on the waters edge by the town and it is believed there is evidence of human habitation in the area since prehistoric times
Many ferries depart from Denia several times a day taking passengers to the Balearic Islands
Entering the port we see in the background, the mountain range, Montana Mongo
More boats arriving
Immediately on the left entering the port is the marina where we have made a booking for the night
We arrive at Marina de Denia
It was a busy time of the afternoon so we had to hover around for a while waiting for our turn to be escorted to our berth
Motor boats and yachts kept arriving one after another late in the afternoon

The facilities look quite upmarket matching the cost of a berth for the night in high season
Finally we make our way to our berth
We have a great position with lovely view of the mountains
Our neighbours
Steak and salad aboard for dinner tonight
