2017-08-11 La Marina Real Juan Carlos 1, Valencia to Moraira, Spain

We make a 7 am start for our departure

One more of many wonderful sunrises
Looking towards the promenade by the very popular Malvarossa Beach

An early morning arrival at the port in Valencia
Being the largest container port in the Mediterranean there are a lot of large containers ships to be aware of!!
Signs of numerous early flights coming and going over eastern Spain this morning

Continuing down the coast we pass several seaside towns such as El Perellonet, Cabo Ullera, Gandia and Puerto de Olivia
We continue past Denia which is an ancient town and port that has been used since 600BC
Good conditions today for travelling
Looking towards the most south easterly cape of the southern Spanish coast
Looking back towards Denia
The town of Javea by Punta de Espanol
Along the coast, lookout towers can be seen on the most prominent headlands
Clifftop homes look amazing over Punta del Emperador
Nearby is the narrow, charming bay of La Granadilla
Around the next major cape south west, we arrive in Moraira
A perfect place for us to drop our anchor and have a well earned swim
Moaira is a small popular seaside town with a good overnight anchorage
Being one of the closest anchorages to the Island of Abiza, Moraira is very popular for boats going over to the Balearic Islands
Today the beach is full of people watching paddling events happening close to the shore
Many small day tripper family boats come to Moraira during the summer holidays and usually return to their marinas before dark
We are joined by several yachts for our overnight stay in the beautiful bay by Moraira
A lot of partying has been going on all day aboard this motor yacht
A good Mediterranean salad for dinner tonight !!
A great sunset!!
