2016-08-17 Anse de Gau to Plage de la Courtade, Ile de Porquerolles, Cote d’Azur, France After breakfast we make a move to continue our journey Anse de Gau was a reasonably comfortable overnight anchorage We head south to Cap Bianco and Cap Benat Looking back to Cap Benat A short distance west we approach Cap Bregancon Fort Bregancon situated on the cape which is an islet attached by a low isthmus Continuing west we pass Port Miramar Inland on the slopes is the ancient town of Hyeres-Plage The modern extension built near the old town has apartments, restaurants and a marina with everything needed for a holiday in the sun by the sea Ric goes ashore to find the listed Orange (for internet and phone) shop Once all was sorted we decided to head to the island of Ile de Porquerolles, the 4th island of the island group of Iles Hyeres Plage which we visited the day before We approach the island and join a number of other boats on anchor at Plage de la Courtade On the wooded hills behind the anchorage is a fort Threatening clouds appeared late afternoon, however no rain arrived Another brilliant sunset …. and a full moon too Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
