Goodbye once again to the lovely town of St FlorentContinuing north up the coast of Cap CorseAsbestos mining has deeply scared the hillside near the town of NonzaWe pass the picturesque hillside village of NonzaOne of the very few boats seen this morning during our travelsThe town of Centuri is almost at the northern tip of CorsicaApproaching Cap Grosso the northern cape of the islandMichele catching up on a few emails while we travelIsola de la Giralglia is the island just north of top of the Corsican tipThe small fishing village of Marine de Barcaggio on the northern tip of Cap CorseThere is a quaintness about this isolated village
Michele seems to be enjoying the diversity of the scenery on the Corsican coast
The steep eastern coast of Isola de la Giraglia with it’s conspicuous white lighthouse and towerAt Baie de Tamarone, cows seem to be enjoying the beach as much as the regular beach goersAnother yacht sailing in the same directionOnce again we approach the delightful town of MacinaggioOn this occasion our visit is purely for refueling the TangaroaAs there was quite a queue for fuel, Michele and I took a stroll around the port
Once fueled up we leave the port of Macinaggio and continue southWe pass several small coastal villages as we head south
The small port of Porticciolo
We pass a large wine and olive growing area of Cap CorseWe continue south along this very fertile coastlineWith only a few kilometers between the west and east coasts of Cape Corse, it is incredible how different the topography isWe approach the town of ErbalungaWe decide this is a nice safe anchorage for us overnightErbalunga is situated north of the large town of Bastia where we intend going in the morningIn the far distance we can see the town of BastiaSoon we have company in this delightfully attractive old port
