2016-05-22 Club Marinatour, Carloforte, Isola di San Pietro to Nautica Pinna Marina, Bosa, Sardinia Directly behind the marina, the full moon sat poised over the restaurant we enjoyed the other evening Once again we depart a marina just as the sun starts appearing Looking back to our berth for the past few days Such a wonderful time of the morning to catch the early light Goodbye to the lovely town of Carloforte The small privately owned island, Isola Piana Isola Piana, as many small islands have a tuna industry background. Today it has been developed into a tourist resort Early morning haze over the power plant on the Sardinian coast nearby It wasn’t long before we were greeted by a few friendly, playful dolphins They swam with us for a few minutes before moving on to have breakfast Another early riser! This morning the conditions for travelling are perfect We pass Buggerru with it’s unwelcome name With such wonderful conditions and wind forcasted for the next few days we decide to continue as far as possible, knowing we have visited this coast by car As we continue up the coast we pass the Golfo di Oristano and the ancient site of Tharros, which we visited recently Finally we arrive in Bosa after 8.5 hours of travelling The main harbour of Bosa, Port Commerciale We continue north around the breakwater by Isola Rossa Isola Rossa which is attached to the point, is a popular spot for fishing and enjoying the sun Once past the breakwater we approach the river Fiume Temo is the river by Bosa which is navigable for around 800m We organise a berth at Nautica Pinna Marina on the left as we enter the Temo River We were welcomed by Daniel, who we found out later was one of the three brothers that own the marina We were given a very nice berth along the outer pontoon Daniel from the marina told us about the wine festival and offered to drive us up to ‘Festa del Vino The Festa was set up on the inclining road which leads to the castle that overlooks the town This was the final day of the Festa as it was on all weekend We sampled several wines during the afternoon We enjoyed trying some sparkling wines too A lovely view of the town from the Festa Not only wine is sampled here at the festa, specialty foods, meats and cheeses are available for sampling and purchasing too The strawberries had amazing flavour so we bought a tray for only 8 Euro We bought several jars and bottles of Franca and Alberto’s delicious products A quiet bystander!! Ric purchased a few bottles from these guys as we were leaving It was time to leave with arms laden with wine, cheeses, walnuts, olives, strawberries and Franca’s specialties. A call to Daniel and in no time he arrived to collect us and return us to the marina Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
