Today the sky is clear and the weather has warmed up nicelyA great day to go and explore a little further with our bikesWe ride along the main tree lined boulevard, Via Roma by the waterThen out to the very long seawallThis would be a very popular walk for the locals especially in summerWith seating all the way out, no doubt a good place to sit with family or friends in the early evening, as they do in Italy during the very hot weatherA great view of the town from the seawallThe port entranceNearby is the local fishing portTourists admiring the striking pink bushIt was definitely one of the most photographed stairways in CarloforteThe marble staue of King Carlo Emanuele stands proudly on Via RomaWe stop for a quick coffee and sandwich at one of the local cafesHeading west out of town towards the lagoonsWe had heard there were flamingos in the lagoonsIt was a wonderful sight seeing so many flamingos
The small river by the townThe locals all seem to have their special spots for their small boatsThe Carloforte war memorialWe ride back through the elegant houses
