Today we returned to Thessaloniki to spend more time exploring the city.  As we have done in many cities around Europe we chose to take the open air, hop on hop off red bus which gave us an extensive trip all over Thessaloniki. By foot this would have been a long and exhausting excursion!! During the red bus trip we passed many archaeological sights, the ancient city walls, churches, museums, theatres, old markets and then it followed with a tour through the city centre and along the busy foreshore. On our return to Kalamaria we decided to once again have dinner in our favourite meat restaurant called Nea Diagonios. The restaurant featured well on TripAdvisor and certainly again lived up to our expectations. During the evening we met fellow sailors at a nearby table. They were locals from the Kalamaria Sailing Club and had just completed and afternoon of yacht racing.
