5th June 2014 Skiathos Port

Our first sunny day since arriving into Skiathos Port!! How different the port looks and feels now that the dreary, cool days had departed. All of a sudden the streets are busy and day tripper boats are full of bather clad passengers looking forward to some sun and swimming. Our guests are due tomorrow so we will spend another day here, although some sun and a swim would be wonderful!! In the evening we had an early vegetable curry dinner aboard with Jennifer joining us, before we all go to the open air movie theatre. The movie that was playing tonight was “Mamma Mia”, staring Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan and Colin Firth. It was a great experience with the open air cinema, having a glass of wine and seeing such a fun movie! Near the end of the movie there were people dancing on the stage and amoung the audience, which was fabulous! “Mamma Mia” was actually filmed at the next island called Skopelos where we intend heading with our guests in the next few days.
