3rd June 2014 Koukounaries to Skiathos Port
Today’s weather forecast was not that promising so we made our way to the Skiathos Port on the south east of the island for shelter for the next few days. Our second guests for the season were arriving here in Skiathos Port in a few days time, which will allow us some time to clean up the boat and prepare for our trip with them. Fortunately along the town quay we found the last spot to berth the Tangaroa. It was a great position close to shops, restaurants and even was opposite the taxi rank!! By afternoon the rain arrived and this busy tourist town became quiet apart from a few daring tourists, braving the elements, wearing colourful plastic rain coats. In the evening after consulting TripAdvisor, we chose the Lyhnari Taverna for dinner and enjoyed a beautiful dish for two of slow cooked lamb. An obviously well patronised restaurant which was full when we arrived and had good service and good traditional Greek food.
