12th May 2014 Porto Carras, Sinthonia Peninsula to Nea Moudhania Ric’s Early Trip to the Bakery Rewarded us with the Most Amazing Loaves of Bread Once Again we have a Calm and Still Morning Tangaroa in Porto Carras John Quite Busy Using his Carpentry Skills on Designing and Making a Windbreak for our Barbecue Our Departure from the Marina We Motor out into a Thick Sea Mist Approaching the Man Made Canal at the Narrowest Point on the of Northern Neck of Kassandra Peninsular A Family Enjoying a Day of Fishing Near the Western Entrance to the Canal A Short Distance Along the Coast the Rich Red Cliffs were a Wonderful Back Drop for us to Anchor for a Few Hours It is Great to get into the Water Again !! John and Diana Test the Water Too Once Under Way Again we Continued to the Next Town of Nea Moudhania which has the most Spectacular Church with an Incredible Minaret Along Side We Enter the Small Port The Township of Nea Moudhania The Tangaroa is Tied Up Along the Small Quay Not Long after our Arrival we are Visited by a Greek Lady (lived in Australia for many years) with her Father In the Evening we Set Off to Look for a Restaurant Marina Restaurant Looked Nice A Large Table of People were Already Seated in the Marina Restaurant Fabulous Mussels to Share for our Entree Stuffed Squid was a Speciality of the House For a Change we All Ordered Different Dishes this Evening Ric Found out the Adjoining Table was a Mixed Choir Group and on his Request they Began Singing, which Followed with much Music and the Women Dancing in Circles Waving their Scarves – Quite a Performance!!
