5th May 2014 Mirina, Lesvos Island to Kamariotissa, Samothraki Island
Just prior to leaving the restaurant we all heard exceptionally loud thunder, followed by gale force winds and almost horizontal rain. The cigar shaped clouds had been right about the weather change!! We remained at the restaurant until the rain had reduced a little and Ric, who had brought an umbrella with him made a run for the boat to get some jackets for us all. What a good samaratin!! Over night the wind blew a gale and the boat that was loosely tied up behind our boat had moved forward. It’s bow spit fortunately only did some minor damage to our woodwork. At 3am it was all hands on deck trying to secure both boats. It was quite an ordeal for us all !!!
