3rd September 2013 Mithimna (Molivos) to Mitilini, Lesvos Island As we were Unable to Check into Greece at Mithimna (Molivos) we had to Depart for the Main Town of Mitilini , in the South East of Lesvos Island to Successfully Complete Customs. Nevertheless we had Time to Capture a Few Photos of this Stunning Greek Port Before our Departure We Pass Several Delightful Small Greek Villages such as Skala Sikamaias on Our Way to Mitilini These White Islands Look Like a Wonderful Place to Stop for a Swim As we Approach Aspronisos Adasi some Fishermen were Pulling Up their Lines The Clear Turquoise Water Looked so Inviting This Tiny Cake Shaped Islet was Surrounded by Shallow Warm Water and an Amazing Number of Small Fish A School of Tiny Fish Having Their Lunch A Couple of Larger Fish Heading Back to the Boat after a Swim for their Lunch The Beach here on the Island is a Combination of Rocks and Sand Tangaroa Anchored by Aspronisos Adasi The Large Byzantine Fortress that Stands Above the Main Town of Lesvos Island, Mitilini As we Enter Mitilini Port we are Stopped by Customs at the Entrance – Lesvos Appears to be Much Stricter with Customs than Any of the Other Greek Islands we have Visited !! Once Customs was Completed we were Instructed to Moor the Tangaroa at the Pier at the Rear of the Harbour There is Always Time for a Walk Around the Port A Popular Area of the Port for Alfresco Dining Tangaroa Comfortably Moored with Other Visiting Boats ‘Vive La Vie’ a Large 60 Metre Super Yacht is in Town Tonight we Try Knttos, for Dinner Our First Pizza for Months !!
