22nd August 2013 Pasas Island to Mandraki, Oinoussa Island A Fisherman Disappears Between the Small Islands Ric Relaxing and Reading in the Morning Sun A Swim to the Beach Before Our Departure The Small Mandraki Island Opposite the Township with the Same Name on the Larger Oinoussa Island We Return to Oinoussa Island to Spend a Night or Two Approaching Mandraki Harbour The Narrow Entrance to Mandraki Harbour Inside the Harbour is the Beautiful Port of Mandraki The Port Does not Seem Busy at All The Church has Commanding Position Above the Port This Old House Seems to be Sliced in Two – Unusual !! Ric as Usual Goes Ashore to Investigate a New Place of Visit Although the Harbour is Small there is Enough Room for a Few Boats on Anchor As the Evening Approaches Some Fishermen Return with Their Catches A Ferry Arrives from Khios and Moors for the Evening The Sun Sets Behind the Tiny Islet of Khalikas which has a Monastery Only a Couple of Yachts Remain on Anchor in the Harbour with Us Overnight Before Dusk an Impressive Super Yacht Arrives in the Tiny Harbour Manoeuvring Very Close Past our Bow we Spotted a Very Keen Photographer on the Top Deck Once Around our Boat the Big Yacht Dropped it’s One of it’s Two Anchors and Moved Sideways Using it’s Huge Bow Thrusters into a Position Along the Pier Another Night with a Wonderful Full Moon Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
