26th April 2013 Kapi Creek to Yesilkoy Limani, near Kalkan
The conditions today were perfect for cruising. Last year we did not venture any further east than the old town of Fethiye. On our departure from Kapi Creek this morning we decided we needed to visit some new areas. We made a plan to go along the coast for a couple of weeks before returning to Gocek to collect our first visitors. Our journey east along the coast took us past rugged wooded shores, deep coves and bays, long sandy beaches and high mountains in the distance, with some still covered in snow. After five hours of motoring in ideal, calm and sunny conditions along this beautiful southern Turkish coast, we finally arrived in Yesilkoy Limani, a sheltered bay close to the ancient town of Kalkan. We often enjoy the opportunity to drop the anchor in a quiet bay for the night, which always gives us an opportunity to swim and relax and have dinner aboard.
