Saturday 15th September 2012 Tomb Bay to Gocek
Waking up to yet another amazing clear and calm morning, promised us once again a wonderful day in paradise! Tomb Bay has always been one of our favourite scenic bays in southern Turkey and this morning was no exception. Susie and Don leave early this evening from the Dalaman Airport near Gocek for their flight to Istanbul. After having their last swim in the warm Mediterranean waters in Tomb Bay we made our way to the Municipal Marina in Gocek. We planned to arrive early enough for our friends to have a look around the town and for us all to have a late lunch together before their departure. Although the marina was quite busy we were lucky enough to get one of the very few berths still available. Unfortunately they do not take bookings for visiting yachts and it is virtually a first come first served situation. We decided to take Don and Susie to one of our favourite restaurant called Lotis, which is just by the entrance to the marina, for our late lunch. The food is always very fresh here and the service is really friendly and professional. All the tables are outside during the day and also the evenings which is pleasant in this warm climate. Late in the afternoon we organised a taxi to take our friends to the airport which is only a 30 minute trip west from Gocek. Once again it wonderful having our friends visit us and as usual we were sorry they had to leave!!
