Thursday 3rd May 2012 Preveza
Our day was very exciting with the Tangaroa being launched back into the water at 1pm. We made our way across the bay (where Cleopatra and Mark Antony had their final battle with Augustus) to Preveza town and moored her along the town wharf from where the final jobs could be completed and our first guests would meet us on the 6th. The rest of our day was spent cleaning up the boat, packing the final things in the cupboards and setting her up again as we had her last year. In the evening we went back to our favourite fish restaurant where we had met a lovely old non English speaking Greek gentleman that loves his white wine. He arrived at the restaurant the same moment we did and it was his first time back since the winter. Quite incredible as he normally goes there for a drink each evening. We chatted and took lovely photos of him last year and we were very pleased that at 86 he was still strong and well. Our evening was a lot of fun and mine host Spiro, who is also the chef and his partner cooked some amazing seafood for us. We both had a nice couple of blue metal jugs of red wine to go with it!!!
