We wake up to another pleasant quite warm day in Blanes
Time for us to continue on down the coast to Puerto de Arenys de Mar where we plan to catch up with some local friendsWe pass a popular camping area on the beach by the town of Santa Susanna, a few miles down the coastContinuing further down the coast we pass a few beach resort towns such as San Pol de Mar with it’s old churchIt is not long before Puerto de Arenys de Mar comes into view in the distanceArenys de Mar, our destination today is the start of the Costa Dorado and is only 40kms north east of Barcelona The town is very well known for it’s substantial fishing industryOur friend Tony, a business acquaintance of Ric’s in the fishing industry, has offices here in Puerto de Arenys de MarWe are shown to our berth by the friendly port staffPuerto de Arenys de Mar is one of the few large ports along this coast
It was nice to catch up with Tony and his wife for a great seafood dinner in one of the local restaurants
It is 7 years since we last caught up with Tony and his wife here in Arenys de Mar. At the time we were here looking at a few boats that were for sale close to here
