2016-08-08 Rade de Villefranche, France Early in the morning Ric goes ashore to buy some fresh bread and visits one of the patisseries in Villefranche. This apple and walnut tart was incredible!!! The lovely old part of the town of Villefranche situated in the north west of the large natural harbour Villefranche is regarded as a suburb of Nice nowadays. It has a declining population due to it’s part time residents and cost of real estate We spend the day today relaxing and doing very little in this beautiful bay Cruise ships moor at the entrance to Villefranche as it is one of the deepest natural harbours of the Mediterranean and is a very safe port for large ships Villefranche is the most visited cruise ship port of call in France. Passengers are ferried to the town of Villefranche and of course to Nice Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
