7th August 2013 Sigacik to Doganbey Limani With the Tangaroa all Ready for our Departure, we Decided for the Couple of Hours or so Before having to Return the Hire Car, we Would Take a Short Drive to the Nearby Town of Seferihisar The Bronze Snails at the Centrum Signifies Seferihisar to be a Slow Paced Town The Seferihisar Market which is Usually on Fridays Happened to be on Today, a Couple of Days Earlier because of the Ramadan Holiday Weekend which Virtually Starts Thursday The Crowds of Shoppers at the Huge Market would have Numbered into the Thousands Ric Selecting Some Perfect Peaches We Bought some Incredibly Tasty Tomatoes Aubergines are very Popular on the Murdoch Menus I was Tempted to Pull Out a Few of the Lower Potatoes !! This Stall Holder must have been Setting Up at 4 am After Sampling a few Olives we Bought Some Delicious Local Ones Cheese is a Big Part of the Turkish Breakfast and Many Types are Available here at the Market All Kinds of Sweets and Nuts are Available at this Stall – I Had to Steer Ric in the Other Direction ! After Driving Back to Sigacik and Returning the Car we Picked Up some Esme (Spicy Tomato Meze) from the Restaurant we Dined in Last Night The Restaurant has a Great Outlook over the Marina We Leave the Marina for a Few Days Before Our Return on Sunday for Ric’s Trip to Norway The Teos Marina and Lovely Town of Sigack is a Great Place to be in Ric’s Absence The Old Port in Sigacik Sigacik is One of Our Favourite Towns in Turkey We Make Our Way South Passing the “Concrete Coast” Cifit Kalesi where the Ancient Ruins of Myonneus Can be Found Continuing a Little Further we Approach Kormen Adasi at our Destination The Tangaroa Securely Tied Up in Donanbey Limani We have Nice Position Close to the Hot Springs Along the Shore Time for a Last Swim and a Few Photos The Underwater Hot Springs The Water is not as Cold as we have had Lately in this Bay However where the Hot Springs are Located it is Noticeably Warmer Last Rays of Sun on Doganbey Adasi in the Distance Green Chicken and Vegetable Curry on the Menu Tonight and Ric Wears his Kaftan for the Occasion Happy Birthday Lisa !!!
