With the Most Wonderful Weather Conditions we Depart Mitilini PortOnce Out of the Port the Castle Comes into View Motoring South from Mitilini we Pass Lush Wooded Hills in Contrast to the Barren Slopes on the West Coast of Lesvos IslandAround the South East of the Island the Terrain Changes Once AgainApproaching Ormos Mersinia with it’s white Beach, Looked Perfect to Drop the Anchor and have a Swim, Especially After Being in a Busy Port for the Past Few DaysA Couple of Houses, a Small Church and some Old Ruins Seem to be the Only Sign of Life in the Secluded BayThe Small Church Nicely Positioned by the BeachAfter a Few Hours of Enjoying the Lovely Bay we Returned to a Safe Anchorage for the Night which we had Passed on the WayOverlooking Ormos Kaloyerou a Solitary House is Nestled Amoungst an Orchard of Olive Trees
