3rd September 2013 Mithimna (Molivos) to Mitilini, Lesvos Island
As we were Unable to Check into Greece at Mithimna (Molivos) we had to Depart for the Main Town of Mitilini , in the South East of Lesvos Island to Successfully Complete Customs. Nevertheless we had Time to Capture a Few Photos of this Stunning Greek Port Before our Departure
We Pass Several Delightful Small Greek Villages such as Skala Sikamaias on Our Way to MitiliniThese White Islands Look Like a Wonderful Place to Stop for a SwimAs we Approach Aspronisos Adasi some Fishermen were Pulling Up their LinesThe Clear Turquoise Water Looked so InvitingThis Tiny Cake Shaped Islet was Surrounded by Shallow Warm Water and an Amazing Number of Small FishA School of Tiny Fish Having Their LunchA Couple of Larger Fish Heading Back to the Boat after a Swim for their LunchThe Beach here on the Island is a Combination of Rocks and SandTangaroa Anchored by Aspronisos AdasiThe Large Byzantine Fortress that Stands Above the Main Town of Lesvos Island, MitiliniAs we Enter Mitilini Port we are Stopped by Customs at the Entrance – Lesvos Appears to be Much Stricter with Customs than Any of the Other Greek Islands we have Visited !!Once Customs was Completed we were Instructed to Moor the Tangaroa at the Pier at the Rear of the HarbourThere is Always Time for a Walk Around the PortA Popular Area of the Port for Alfresco DiningTangaroa Comfortably Moored with Other Visiting Boats‘Vive La Vie’ a Large 60 Metre Super Yacht is in TownTonight we Try Knttos, for DinnerOur First Pizza for Months !! Delicious !!With a Very Tasty Caesar Salad
