20th July 2013 Paradise Bay, Kaziki Limani to Agathonisi Island, Greece The Fish Farm Boats are Still Moored When We Made Our Early Start After Motoring Many Miles West Across Gulluk Korfezi we Arrive at Busy Altinkum Which is the Closest Town to the Ancient Site of Didyma Altinkum has Changed Dramatically Over the Years from Being a Quite Fishing Village to Becoming a Busy Resort Town We Change Our Minds about Visiting Didyma and Instead Decide to Leave Turkey and Go to the Small Greek Island of Agathonisi Before Anchoring in Agathonisi Town we Went to a Small Bay East of the Town for a Swim We are the Only Boat in this Wonderful Tiny Bay The Water is Absolutely Crystal Clear and Our Anchor is Clearly Visible Glistening from the Bottom in the Sun Old Dry Stone Fences Wave Their Way to the Top of the Surrounding Hills After Spending a Few Hours in the Adjacent Bay , We Thought it Time to Secure a Position in the Tiny Port of Agathonisi What a Terrific Spot Ric Chose in the Middle of the Port With a Small Beach, a Few Little Tavernas, a Couple of Pansions and Shops this Sleepy Little Town is Truly Charming The Water is so Clear in this Delightful Tiny Island Port The Seagull Restaurant with it’s Adjoining Accommodation Quaint Cottages Line the Small Street on the Harbour This is a Great Little Cafe and a Popular Place in Town for Late Drinks and Excellent Greek Music With a Long Line Ashore and the Anchor Tight we are Safely Moored Here for the Night As is in Most Greek Towns, Blue and White are the Most Popular Colours of the Houses Every Greek Port has a Selection of Cute Little Fishing Boats What a Beautifully Quaint and Peaceful Little Town we have Discovered !! Late in the day our Italian Friends from Paradise Bay Arrive Beside Us Our New Italian Friends Michele, Marika, Gia & Bianca The Seagull Restaurant Looked Like a Nice Choice for Dinner Subtle Flavoured Small Light Greek Pies Were a Delicious Starter for Us Tonight A Delightful French Lady Sitting at the Next Table Insisted on Taking Our Photo, which was a Lovely Gesture Wonderful Home Made Moussaka for Me The Slow Cooked Goat for Ric Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
