20th August 2013 Sigacik to Emborios, Khios Island, Greece Farewell to Gill and the Petronella The Friendly and Helpful Staff at the Teos Marina Our Berth for the Past Week or So We Pass the Petronella on the Way Out of Port Bobby Comes Past to Say Goodbye The Charming Old Fishing Port Reluctantly we say Goodbye to Sigacik Once Again Cruising West Along the Coast Past Teke Burnu A Yacht Moored Below the High Cliffs of Teke Burnu A Ferry Closely Crosses Our Path on the Way to the Greek Island of Khios Approaching the Southern End of Khios Island Near the Western Turkish Coast We Drop Anchor Near the Entrance to the Port Time for a Swim Several Yachts all Anchored with Long Lines Ashore too The Rugged Shoreline of the Bay Looks Quite Spectacular in the Fading Sun A Delightful Small Church by the Waterside of the Emborios Bay The Spectacular Southern Cliff at the Port Entrance Boats of all Shapes are in View Here Emborios Bay is Quite Small and has very Little Room for Boats Swinging on Anchor The Small Village of Emborios at Dusk The Larger Motor Yacht Departs Port from Beside Us Ric Making Sure Our Anchor and Stern Line to the Shore are all Secure for the Night – Note the Full Moon !!
