Looking up to our balcony on the top floor The weather has suddenly improved greatly with much warm sunshine and clear blue skiesThe Hasdrubal Thalassa has very generous grounds for it’s 210 roomsThere are some delightfully pleasant shaded sitting areas all around this lovely hotelThe numerous water features scattered around the large grounds of the hotel gives a sense of calmness and tranquilityThis morning we plan to spend time relaxing around the swimming poolWe find a perfect spot with large sun umbrellas overhead!!Nearby is the chilly swimming pool ….. feels like 10 degreesNevertheless we both did dozens of laps to cool off during our time at the poolLooking towards the Hotel Spa areaIt is a delightful, well maintained hotel which unfortunately has very few guests at the momentUnfortunately there was a major terrorist attack at one of the beachside Tunisian Hotels south of here in late June 2015. Since then the tourists, especially the English tourists have stayed awayWe go to the Spa for some relaxing massagesFrom the windows of the hotel we look south toward the lengthy sandy coastlineEarly evening approachesThis evening there are drinks served in the foyer for the houseguestsTonight we enjoy some locally caught fish with delicious vegetablesWe dine this evening with a delightful couple we met at drinks in the foyer
