The boys have been doing some extra shopping this morningAt lunchtime we depart Trogir for the start of our trip with our Tasmanian friends aboardLeaving ACI Marina TrogirLeaving the historic old town of TrogirWe head north west up the barren coastlineWhile we travel we take the opportunity to have a leisurely lunch aboardA couple of hours later we approach the picturesque town of PrimostenIn the past Primosten was situated on an islet and was protected by walls and towers and a draw bridgeA causeway was later built in 1564 to connect the town to the mainlandThe town was built on a hill which is dominated by the Parish Church of St George which was built in 1485 and later restored in 1760Primosten is also famous for its huge and beautiful vineyards. There is also a lovely small beach which was voted one of the 10 most beautiful in CroatiaAfter leaving Primosten we motor north west for just over an hour to Zirje Island where we anchor in an almost secluded bay to have a swimApart from the other boat, we were the only visitors to the bayAfter an hour enjoying the refreshing water we make our way to a nearby cove called Uvala Stupica Vela where there is a popular restaurant that caters to visiting sailorsWe join many other boats and pick up a restaurant mooring in the bayFortunately the restaurant had a table available!! At 7 pm we make our way ashoreThe restaurant must be very busy tonight!!Konoba StupicaNot a spare table to be seenAfter waiting for a few minutes we secured our table
We all enjoyed a selection of grilled squid, octopus and whole seabass fish with a potato and a green salad. All were delicious!!The young lady that looked after us spoke good English and was very pleasant and helpful
