Beautiful early morning light over the Dalt Vila, Castle and Cathedral of Ibiza TownAt lunch time we decide to leave the marina and find a bay to anchor in for the night or two before making a crossing back to mainland SpainGoodbye to a lovely town which we will definitely return to in the futureLooking back to the inner port of Ibiza Town
Ibiza is one of the most popular destinations for cruise ships in the Balearic IslandsOnce out of the port we head south west and pass the lighthouse on Illa des PenjatsOnce through the narrow channel between the small islands in the south, we head north west passing a couple of sailing boats by the Torre de ses PortesWe anchor for a while in Platja de ses Salines which is an extremely popular mooring off a sheltered white sandy beachContinuing west around the island we pass Cabo Falco a tall sheer headland
The small cove Sa Caleta in the south west of the island is a very popular spot with sandy beaches nearby with stunning red cliffs and turquoise waterSmall boat houses clutter the bays in this area
We continue further west to find a suitable anchorage for the night
We arrive in Es Torrent which seems to be a pleasant anchorage for the night
We drop anchor in the bay not far from a beach club nestled between the cliffsAs the sun disappears we experience some amazing cloud formations
