In the morning we see the same young couple on their paddle boards returning to Cala Santa Galdana with their dog
A great way to exercise on the water without getting wet!!!After spending the day on the boat we thought we needed some walking exercise ourselves
Again we take the dinghy under the foot bridge and leave it a short way up the riverSome baby ducklings have appeared with their parents on the river’s edgePeaceful attractive surrounding beyond the second foot bridgeBehind the beach we take the steps up to the roadWe look down on a lovely home with a pool very close to the beachRic who has a bad back looked awkward as he walked ahead up the road. Hopefully the walk will help it!!The Melia Cala Galdana which stands prominently overlooking the bay is built into the cliff as the entrance and car park is from the rear virtually on the top floor. We continue walking and come to a lookout that has an amazing view over the bayCala Santa Galdana is very popular for people from all over Europe, especially from the UK. The very sheltered bay with clear waters, generous sandy beach plenty of good accommodation makes it ideal holiday destination
Some beautiful homes are nestled amongst the lush vegetation of the area
The Tangaroa in Cala Santa Galdana
As we return to the boat we watch the process of a small boat being precariously being hoisted out of the water in the riverWe make our way back to the Tangaroa
Tonight we have a salad with our delicious fillet steak cooked on our Australian barbecue
