After a pleasant day of swimming and relaxing while moored off the town of Blanes we decide late in the afternoon we take our dinghy and go into the main port for dinner ashoreThe colourful fishing boat all lined up like soldiers near the entrance to the portThe port caters to quite a number of local and visiting boats of all sizesThere is also plenty of space for the storage of kyaks, dinghys and other small boats tooTangaroa comfortably moored off the beach in BlanesThe promenade by the beach was still very quiet when we arrived before the evening crowd arrives
Sa Palomera the rock formation off the beach is a popular spot to climb and enjoy the view over the beach and town
We decide to find a table at the busy well placed restaurant bar ‘Es Blanc’ and have a drink before dinnerWe order a beer and a Cosmopolitan to quench our thirstNearby an artist creates and amazing sand sculpture!!We head back to find a restaurant along the promenadeThe beach is now almost desertedGreat sunset
Overlooking the marina in the busy portWe look up TripAdvisor and the restaurant, Sa Lola which is located just beside the port rated well so we decided to give it a try tonightWe were given a pleasant table outside under an awning which we were very pleased withRic orders a very pleasant drinking Spanish redOur first course was the amazing ‘spherical olives’Delicious Foie Gras coated with white chocolateAnother amazing dish arrivesThe restaurant quickly starts filling up around 9pmFabulous prawns with sweet chilli sauce arrivesFried calamari nicely presented in newspaperAn amazing box of mussels arrives nextFollowed by Iberian pork bunsThe baked pineapple dessert was a wonderful way to finish off a delicious tapas dinner
After dinner we take another walk along the foreshore to wear off some of the wonderful food we shared tonightThe Port of Blanes by night
