Again we have a lot of company in the very popular anchorage between Ile Ste Marguerite and Ile St HonoratIcecreams and snacks are quite irresistible for many of the sailors moored here todayDuring the day many more boats arrived at the anchorageLater in the afternoon we decided to go ashore on Ile Honorat and take a walk to the old monastery. There is also a restaurant on the island that serves lunchBy the tiny port on the northern side of the island is this hexagonal building featuring a statue of the MadonnaWe pass an ancient archway on our way to the monasteryThe island is only 400m wide and 1.5 kms long so it did not take us long to get to the monastery on the southern side!
We visit the old church by the abbey
The beautiful gardens of the Abbey of St Honorat
