We have wonderful calm conditions for our 3.5 hour trip across to the island of Elba

The town of Pomonte is popular holiday destination for beach goers, hikers etc
The town of Pomonte is a popular holiday destination for beach goers, hikers and divers visiting the shipwreck of the cargo ship, Elviscot that sank in the 70’s off this coast

The beaches here are predominately rocks so lounges and umbrellas are popular
Heading south east we pass a lone umbrella on a desolate beach

We arrive in Barbatoia (Fetovaia) only a short distance south east from Pomonte

We manage to find a wonderful spot in the middle of the bay to drop our anchor

This bay is usually busy as it is the best anchorage on the coast prior to making an early start across to Isola D'Elba, as we did last year
