2016-06-16 Porto Palma, Isola Caprera, Maddalena Islands to Golfo Saline, Sardinia
As we depart Porto Palma early in the morning we see the sailing school has all their young pupils out in their small sailing boats practicing their sailing skillsWe head back to the east coast of Caprera Island and go to our favorite bay called Cala Coticcio, which this morning unfortunately had a strong breeze blowing straight into itAs an alternative day anchorage we go into Carla Portese which is quite close by and more shelteredIn the middle of the sandy white beach is a bar, just in case the beach goers get thirsty during the day!!After several hours enjoying the sun and the swimming we motor to a closer anchorage for the night near the town of CannigioneOnce again we pass the old buildings on the south west coast of Caprera IslandWe approach Golfo delle Saline north west of the mouth of Golfo di Arzachena in which Cannigione is situatedVillas line the shore of this large and quite attractive bayA well located resort, complete with sandy beach with umbrellas and lounges, is also situated in Saline BayBeing so close to the La Maddalena Islands there are numerous waterfront holiday resorts in Golfo delle SalineThis was once again a good anchorage overnight for us before going south into Cannigione port early in the morning
