2016-06-16 Porto Palma, Isola Caprera, Maddalena Islands to Golfo Saline, Sardinia As we depart Porto Palma early in the morning we see the sailing school has all their young pupils out in their small sailing boats practicing their sailing skills We head back to the east coast of Caprera Island and go to our favorite bay called Cala Coticcio, which this morning unfortunately had a strong breeze blowing straight into it As an alternative day anchorage we go into Carla Portese which is quite close by and more sheltered In the middle of the sandy white beach is a bar, just in case the beach goers get thirsty during the day!! After several hours enjoying the sun and the swimming we motor to a closer anchorage for the night near the town of Cannigione Once again we pass the old buildings on the south west coast of Caprera Island We approach Golfo delle Saline north west of the mouth of Golfo di Arzachena in which Cannigione is situated Villas line the shore of this large and quite attractive bay A well located resort, complete with sandy beach with umbrellas and lounges, is also situated in Saline Bay Being so close to the La Maddalena Islands there are numerous waterfront holiday resorts in Golfo delle Saline This was once again a good anchorage overnight for us before going south into Cannigione port early in the morning Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
