A wonderful French breakfast on the boat this morningLooking towards the fabulous restaurant we dined in last nightWe were very lucky to have such a good berth for our night in BonifacioAs fuel is much cheaper in France, we decide to fill up here in BonifacioOnce again we make our way out of the spectacular portThere are still a few of the large motor yachts here today
Inside the harbour on the northern side by the entrance, is a lovely tiny bay in which anchoring is prohibitedYachts were already arriving as we departed to secure a position in the busy portOnce out of the harbour we again pass the the limestone cliffs with the houses so precariously balancing on top5km east from Bonifacio is Cap de Pertusato which is the southern most tip of CorsicaBy the cape is the rock formation which resembles a ship rising from the sea!!We continue east along the Corsican coast to Ile Piana and stop in the lovely anchorage by the island to have lunchLunch today consists of a very nice French cheese that our guests purchased, enjoyed with some fruit and breadOn our way back to Isola Caprera in the La Maddelena Islands we call into VillamarinaVillamarina is a bay in the southern side of Isola San StefanoIn Villamarina there is an unfinished statue we wanted to see of Admiral Ciano, a WW1 war hero who was married to Mussolini’s daughterLate afternoon we arrive back in the comfortable overnight anchorage of Porto Palma, which is in the south of Isola CapreraThe boys sample some of Ric’s organic wine which he bought in CagliariPiccante vegetarian pasta for dinner aboard tonightAnother attractive sunset over Porto Palma
