Giovanni from the marina says goodbye to us all, as we departWe had a good spot on the quay here at the marinaWe depart from our stay in Cannigione marinaJohn takes over the controls of the TangaroaOn our way out of Golfo di Arzachena we motor past quite an exclusive resortOnce again passing houses built over the unusual, incredible rock formationsWith our first guests aboard we motor towards Isola Caprera, (one of the La Maddelena Islands ) and our favourite bay Cala CoticcioThis morning there are already several small boats in the small stunning bayThe first swim for our guests and also for us this seasonThe water is as turquoise blue in the bay, just as we remembered it to be last yearNumerous more boats arrive which made the small bay much busier than we experienced last seasonA small pooch takes a dive from a neighbouring boatThis lifejacketed pooch loved the water and was in and out of the water like an excited childThis is the first day we have had warm enough temperatures to actually go for a swim
John and Angela, our friends from Melbourne, certainly enjoying the warm conditions todayTime to depart as we plan to seek a good mooring for the nightWe make our way to Isola Budelli via Carla Santa MariaOnce settled in Carla Nord on Isola Budelli we were happy with our overnight anchorageThere are quite a few reefs and very shallow water in the Deadman’s Passage, which is what this area is generally known byThe rock formations on all the La Maddelena Islands are all very rugged and have a similar appearanceBy early evening most of the private day tripper boats have returned to their marinas, which left a few boats intending to stay overnight
After another swim we all relax before Ric heads into the galley
Ric has been busy cooking up a storm, this time one of his special chicken and vegetable curries which was absolutely delicious as usual!!
