This afternoon when all the preparation was done for our guests arriving, we set off on foot to have a look around CannigioneThere is a large open square by the port in the townThere are plenty of restaurants and cafes around the foreshore by the marina

There are nice walkways and a good bike track around CannigioneJust north of the town centro there is small beach which is popular for the locals and visitorsAs no doubt there are quite a few English residents and visitors here in Cannigione, the Old Cutter Pub makes it’s customers feel quite at home!!Behind the beach is very pleasant residential/holiday areaRecently much work has been done developing the open central park area by the houses which even has a quite a rather unusual fountainBack to the boat in the marinaOur first guest have finally arrivedJohn and Angela conveniently had a direct flight to Olbia from Rome, where they had spent a few days after arriving from AustraliaAfter settling in and having a welcome drink with our guests, we ventured into the small town for dinnerAfter some research earlier in the day we booked a table at La Zattera in the main street of the townLa Zattera looked bright and inviting, with a very pleasant outdoor drinks area in front of the restaurantRic is pleased our guests have finally arrived and is no doubt looking forward to some male conversation on the boatOnce seated in the restaurant we all receive a tiny morsel of fish in aspic, compliments from the chefFor an entree we share the tuna capaccio, which was fresh and delicious…..and the yummy mussells!!John orders the tuna main courseAngela, Ric and I share a wonderful fish in the oven!!The snapper was baked in the oven with potatoes, tomatoes, wine, stock and herbs and spices
The host and staff were all very friendly this evening
