We depart the marina and get a nice goodbye from our neighboursPorto Karalis was a very central, well organised and fairly secure marina in CagliariCagliari with it’s distinct Spanish architecture is definitely the most cosmopolitan and sophisticated town of SardiniaFor the last time this year at least, we head out through the port markersWe pass one of many oil tankers that is moored by the oil refinery in the Gulf of CagliariSarroch Oil RefineryWe continue down the coast towards Pula where the ancient site of Nora is situatedThe tower of Isola MacarioThen behind is the tower of Capo di Pula which is by the ancient siteWe pass part of the ancient site of Nora with it’s ancient ruins and one standing column which clearly can be seenBeyond we can see a group having a guided tour of Nora (as we did when we visited) by the remaining standing four columns of a fine villa
Continuing south west along the southern coast we pass many towers perched on almost every pointThis area has wonderful beaches with white sandThe lighthouse on Capo Spartivento one of the most southern tips of SardiniaThere are a couple of yachts moored in East Cove, a tiny bay east of Isola TereddaWe drop anchor in the lovely bay on the west side of Isola TereddaA couple of yachts sail in and out of the bayRic decides to move into the larger bay called Porto MalfatanoOvernight breezes would give is a calmer night hereA beautiful sunset tonight
