At lunchtime with the weather deteriorating we stumble upon PlateaThe vibrant and very busy eatery, which comprises of several floors, is situated in a central shopping complexTo entertain the customers, every hour a group of talented staff members circulate the room dancing Flamenco to loud Spanish musicWe finally secure a table and order some drinksThere are 2 floors of food outlets at Platea, all serving amazing TapasWe first decided to sample some Peruvian foodThese amazing Peruvian empanadas were so deliciousFrom another place we sampled grilled salmon with vegetables and a curry dish which were wonderful tooPlenty of seafood was also available at PlateaRic could not help himself as usual!! He ordered some delicious looking tartsA friendly group at the next table enjoying a few drinksAfter lunch we returned to the hop on hop off tourist bus to see a few more sights

The Almudena Cathedral from the south east sideFinally the rain starts coming down heavily so we decide to get off the bus at the closest point to our hotel, buy an umbrella and return to our accommodation
