2015-10-18 Madrid, Spain The Madrid Railway Station complete with large indoor garden Today we again board the hop on hop off buses near the Museo del Prado Once again we pass the Fuente de Cibeles The flowerbeds look amazing in front of Puerta de Alcala At lunchtime with the weather deteriorating we stumble upon Platea The vibrant and very busy eatery, which comprises of several floors, is situated in a central shopping complex To entertain the customers, every hour a group of talented staff members circulate the room dancing Flamenco to loud Spanish music We finally secure a table and order some drinks There are 2 floors of food outlets at Platea, all serving amazing Tapas We first decided to sample some Peruvian food These amazing Peruvian empanadas were so delicious From another place we sampled grilled salmon with vegetables and a curry dish which were wonderful too Plenty of seafood was also available at Platea Ric could not help himself as usual!! He ordered some delicious looking tarts A friendly group at the next table enjoying a few drinks After lunch we returned to the hop on hop off tourist bus to see a few more sights Templo de Debrod The Royal Palace The weather slowly becomes cooler with a few more showers The Almudena Cathedral from the south east side Finally the rain starts coming down heavily so we decide to get off the bus at the closest point to our hotel, buy an umbrella and return to our accommodation Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
