2015-10-06 Cala Pira, Punta Cappuccini to Porto Giunco, Sardinia, Italy The lonely fishing boat looks dwarfed by the conspicuous old tower on the point at Cala Pira For a change of scenery, this morning we move from the popular beach Motoring south for 45 minutes we arrive at Porto Giunco, almost on the south eastern tip of Sardinia This is one of the most popular beaches with turquoise water in southern Sardinia Another old watchtower overlooks the south eastern point Very pleasant conditions today for us to enjoy our last day on anchor before taking the Tangaroa to be wintered in Marina Di Capitana Although it was late in the season there were still quite a few holiday makers enjoying the beach by the tourist town of Villasimius Behind the lagoon on the western side of the south east cape is the Villasimius Marina As today was our last day of swimming, we spent quite a lot of time in the water which had become quite cool over the past weeks. It actually reminded us more of the water temperature that we have at home in southern Tasmania Our last evening of peace and quiet on anchor in the Med this year Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
