2015-10-02 Olbia, Sardinia Italy Washing day today Finally the sun appears in the afternoon Another ferry makes it’s way past the mussel farms to Olbia Port Hans and Lotta call past to say a final goodbye before they leave to drive around northern Sardina for a few days In the evening we return to Ristorante La Meridiana at the marina with our NZ friend John, who also is in the port with his yacht Awatea for a few days We order a nice Sardinian red wine to go with the “Meat Degustation Menu” we all chose for dinner tonight We start with the fabulously fresh carpaccio of beef and steak tartare Next course was a delicious meat and vegetable pie Followed by ravioli with ricotta with chard and cheese The sliced black angus was tender and perfectly cooked A Tiramisu was one of the choices for dessert The other dessert was an unusual sweet cheese pie On our way back to the Tangaroa, the reflections of the boats in the perfectly calm water at the marina were quite amazing, especially after having so many days of windy and rainy weather Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
