2015-09-30 Cala di Volpe, Costa Smerlda to Olbia, Sardinia Italy
The Fair Lady makes an early departure from Cala di VolpeThe large motor yacht ‘Belongers’ is still on anchor as we depart the bayWith better weather during high season this bay would be packed tight with boats and there would be only standing room on the beach!!As we head out of Cala di Volpe the sea is still quite confused
One of the first things we noticed as we approached the port of Olbia was all the mussel farms in the large gulfThe Marina in OlbiaSeveral large ferries are in the Port of Olbia as we arriveWe make the decision to take a berth in the marina instead of tying up in the port tonightOur NZ friend John, on his yacht Awatea, is in the marina at the moment‘Belongers’ our neighbours in Cala di Volpe, enters the marina shortly after our arrivalWith umbrellas in hand and jackets on we brave the elements and go ashore to one of the restaurants for dinnerWe chose the Ristorante La Meridiana by the bistroGreat bread rolls and crisp pita arrive at the table
Lotta and I chose the seafood degustation menu
Hans and Ric chose the meat degustation menu
We shared each of the desserts, an icecream….and delicious Tiramasu
