Ric and Rod set off on the bikes to do some shoppingMeanwhile Kate and I get a few more photos overlooking the sea and the portA few ferries in the other port nearbyKate lined up with the port’s starboard and port entrance lightsThe boys return and start preparing the boat for departureThere is still a swell coming into the harbour this morningJust before noon we make our departureGoodbye BastiaWe continue north up the coast Cap Corse from BastiaWe pass numerous ancient lookouts… and a few lovely residences on the water’s edgeMacinaggio, our destination for the night comes into viewThe town is quite small and is situated very close to the northern tip of Corsica on Cap CorseTangaroa in MacinaggioNapoleon Bonaparte arrived in Macinaggio after escaping from Isola d’Elba where he was exiledThe port is filling up with visiting yachts this afternoonThe main street of MacinaggioPlenty of greenery around the local churchIt was quite a long walk back to the boatWe have some drinks and nibbles at 5pmKate who adores cats has already made a few friends
Further along the pier there was a large family of cats which were fed by the visiting sailors, including us!!The long yacht pier for visiting yachts
