John and his friends have already departed early as they were heading south to Corsica todayOnce again we leave this beautiful little port of Azzuuro as we are going back north and returning to PortoferraioWe have some company as we leave the Gulf of MolaThe popular Barbarossa Beach is east of the Fort and north of AzzurroA lovely looking yacht drops their anchor off the beachWe pass the imposing San Giacomo Fort of AzzurroLooking back to Narengo Beach with Capoliveri, where we had dinner last night in the backgroundThe next anchorage north is Senno D’OrtanoWe approach the small port of Rio Marina which has noticeable scars of the past history of mining behind the townPastel coloured houses in the port of Rio MarinaSome kind of event was happening here in the town todayMore evidence of the iron ore mining of the past by Rio MarinaThe long beach by Rio Marina attracts many tourists every summerThe small Isola Cerboli is 7 kms off the north east point of Isola d’ElbaA friendly group of relaxed sailors pass byThe small harbour of Cavo comes into viewWe spent a few hours here in Cavo before continuing to PortoferraioWe pass Isola Palmaiola which is about 4kms off the north east point of Capo VitaLooking back at Capo Vita with tiny Topi Islet nearbyHeading down to Portoferraio we once again pass the fabulous coastline on the wayThe outline of Portoferraio in the distance
We arrive back to the picturesque port of Portoferraio
We moor in the bay overnight close to the marina where we will go in the morning, as we are having the Tangaroa’s motors serviced there tomorrow
