2015-08-26 Marina Riva di Traiano to L’Isolotto, Ecole, Italy Time to depart from Riva di Traiano Several cruise ships are in the Civitavecchia Port that services Rome The chimney stacks of the power plant by Civitavecchia We continue up the coast of Italy towards the Promontario Monte Argentario Joining a few other boats on anchor by the tiny islet of Formiche di Burano we had a swim We approach Porto Ecole on the eastern side of the Argentario Peninsular The Citadel overlooks the port of Ercole Ecole is another beautiful port on the Italian coast The Patron Saint of Ecole looks over the harbour We leave the port as we intend anchoring out tonight La Rocca Fort on Punta Santa Barbara by Ecole There seems to be a castle or a fort on every point along this coast Plenty of sun bathers on the rocks Cala del Bove is a large sheltered bay just south of Ecole A tug with it’s load mooring for the night in the bay There are few lovely homes in Cala del Bove In the southern corner of the bay is a large resort It is a popular corner for boats by the resort After spending a couple of hours in Cal del Bove we decided to move to behind the small island, L’Isolotto for the night L’Isolotto is slightly south of the Ecole harbour Full moon tonight Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
