We head to the islet with the Castello d’IschiaIt is time to have a swim before we go into the Porto d’Ischia for the nightBoats coming and going through the narrow entrance to the old harbour Port d’IschiaWe return to this lovely harbour which is very full and busy by late afternoonFortunately we booked a berth when we visited last weekOur friend Antonio who seems to run the show, was there with his big smile when we arrivedBy 6pm all the berths were full and the restaurants were preparing for their guestsOur marina pier right in the heart of the harbourTangaroa with lots of company for the nightBefore dinner we have a drink in the bar by the portEarlier we booked a table at Nugaa only metres past our berth, which looked rather niceWe chose a table set back from the walkway as there are a lot of people strolling past at nightOnce we sat down we were given a small glass of a delightful prosseco followed by a small seafood entreeThe bread and bread sticks all made in the restaurant, were attractively servedThe grilled octopus entree looked and tasted outstandingRic ordered a wonderful Sicilian redRic’s main course of fried fish and vegetables were beautifully presented and tasted equally as goodMy grilled fish stuffed with artichokes was amazingWe both agree the food at Nugoo could be scored as high as 10 out of 10The chef from Nugoo personally delivered the desserts to the tables in order to chat with his customersA couple of wonderful chocolates arrived at the end of the meal – one disappeared so quickly!!
